CALL FOR PAPERS

We are pleased to announce the 15th Annual Student Conference on Studies of the Past. The 2007 conference will explore the topic of living spaces and communities throughout history. We will consider concepts such as of the hearth, shelter, gathering places of family and friends, the designs of physical buildings, as well as their social significances and practical functions. We will be looking at a broad range of living spaces from caves and pit houses to Roman villas, mediaeval palaces and glass skyscrapers. We seek papers from diverse theoretical, political and social standpoints that further the discussion of these areas.

This year we will hold the following three sessions:

     1. Prehistory, ancient history, archaeology, and auxiliary research sciences;
     2. Mediaeval, modern, contemporary and art history; and
     3. Museum and gallery studies, conservation, restoration and public education.

Abstracts for papers and/or poster presentations of approximately 150 words, must be submitted by email to cerc_de_arheologie@uab.ro .

Completed forms should be sent electronically to cerc_de_arheologie@uab.ro or by fax to [+40] 258-811412.
